Purpose and Vision

1.  Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Ltd. (BECIL) an ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001:2013, ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018, ISO/IEC 1725:2017 and CMML3 certified Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has a fully operational ISO/IEC certified Cyber Forensics Center of Excellence (CFCoE) at its Noida office. 

2.  The Cyber Forensics Center of Excellence was established with the vision of supporting Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of creating a self-reliant and secure India. The Centre of Excellence focuses on developing advanced capabilities in cyber and digital forensics, positioning India as a leader in this critical field. Its primary objective is to provide cutting-edge forensic services, consultancy, training, and capacity building, while also advancing technology transfer and manufacturing of forensic tools and solutions, making India self-sufficient in this sector.

 

Cyber Forensic Services

3.  The Centre offers a wide range of cyber forensic services, designed to assist Law Enforcement Agencies, Government bodies, and other Organizations in the investigation and resolution of digital crimes. Our services include:

          (a)  Computer and Mobile Forensics Extracting and analyzing data from computers, laptops, and mobile devices, including iOS and Android systems, to uncover digital evidence.

                (b)  Forensic Data Recovery Recovering deleted, corrupted, or encrypted data using advanced forensic tools.

                (c)  Cloud and IoT Forensics Investigating cloud-based storage systems and Internet of Things (IoT) devices to retrieve crucial evidence.

                (d)  CCTV and Drone Forensics Analyzing footage and data from CCTV systems and drones, which are increasingly used in criminal investigations.

 

Cyber Forensic Consultancy

4.  Our consultancy services are designed to assist Organizations in developing robust Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP), Tender Process, Cyber Forensic Strategies, and Forensic Readiness Frameworks. By leveraging our expertise, we help clients establish processes for effective digital evidence handling and cybercrime investigation as per international and national guidelines. We also provide tailor made consultancy on integrating forensic practices into existing security protocols

 

Training and Capacity Building

5.  As part of our commitment to building a skilled workforce in Cyber Forensics, the Centre offers comprehensive training programs and workshops for Academia, Law Enforcement Agencies, Government Officials, and Corporate Professionals. These programs include:

                (a)  Cyber Forensic Certifications Specialized training modules, such as the Level 1 Certificate Program in Cyber Forensics, focusing on “hands-on” skills development in digital forensics.

  (b)  Workshops and Skill Development Customized workshops designed to address the latest trends and technologies in cybercrime, ensuring Participants stay ahead of emerging threats.

 

Manufacturing and Technology Transfer

6.  To foster self-reliance in Cyber Forensics, the Centre is actively involved in manufacturing cutting-edge indigenous Forensic tools through technology transfer from Global Leaders in digital forensics. By collaborating with international and domestic partners, BECIL aims to bring the latest forensic solutions, thus promoting ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’.

 

Establishment of Cyber Forensic Labs

7.   As part of its mission to strengthen India’s digital forensic infrastructure, BECIL has commenced planning establishment of Advanced Cyber Forensic Laboratories across the Country. These labs are proposed to be equipped with the latest hardware and software required for thorough forensic investigations, empowering Law Enforcement Agencies.

 

Research and Development (R&D)

8.  At the heart of the Cyber Forensic Centre of Excellence is a commitment to foster Research and Development (R&D). The Centre actively engages in developing new forensic tools, refining forensic methodologies, and exploring emerging technologies such as blockchain analysis, AI-based forensic solutions, and quantum computing in the context of cybercrime.
